CROWN PRINCE ATTENDS CEREMONY FOR THE MEMORIAL PLAQUE
UNVEILING AT THE MINING GEOLOGY FACULTY
Belgrade, 10 February 2009 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander
II attended today a ceremony for the unveiling the memorial plaque dedicated
to the students and assistant of the Mining Geology Faculty who died in an
accident at the Ravanica Cave.
The Crown Prince mentioned in his speech:” This was a
very tragic loss of four young lives. I extend my deepest condolences to the
families of the young people who lost their lives while exploring the
beauties of our country. Sometimes, sadly, even the most noble endeavours
end in tragedy”.
Beside the Crown Prince speeches were also delivered by
HE Dr. Zarko Obradovic, Minister of Education in the Government of Serbia
and Miss Marija Novak on behalf of the families of the deceased.
On behalf of the Dean of the Mining Geology Faculty,
Prof. Dr. Bozo Kolonja, the guests were welcomed by: Prof. Dr. Veselin
Dragisic and Prof. Dr. Nikola Lilic, Vice-deans of the Faculty, Prof Dr.
Zoran Stevanovic, student Vice-dean Suncica Ninkovic i Prof dr Tosovic.
