THE ROYAL COUPLE VISIT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KING PETER II KARADJORDJEVIC

Belgrade, 21 March 2009 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine accompanied by Duchess Danielle di Royal Bucquoi and Prof. Dr. Ida Jovanovic, Deputy Director of the University Children’s Hospital in Tirsova visited today Elementary School King Peter II Karadjordjevic on the occasion of the celebration of School Day.

At the beginning of the ceremony the school choir performed the National Anthem Boze Pravde. Following the celebration Mr. Petar Polimac, the School Principal welcomed Their Royal Highnesses and all present pointing out the importance of this day for our history.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II emphasized:” I am very happy that my wife Crown Princess Katherine and I are here with you at the school that carries the name of my father King Peter II. I am sure that he would be very proud of the way that this school appears today. I wish you all the best during your school days, because this is the period of your life when you are preparing for the future”.

The programme includes a theatre play and concert for pupils. Also present were Mr. Ognjanovic, Principal of the Mathematic high-school and MR. Dragan Bjelogrlic, distinguished Serbian actor.
