ROYAL PALACE RECEPTION PROMOTING DJAVOLJA VAROS
AS ON OF THE WONDERS OF THE WORLD
Belgrade, 25 March 2009 – As a part the
supporting campaign for Djavolja Varos to be one of the worlds
natural wonders, HRH Crown Prince Alexander II hosted today a
reception at the Royal Palace.
The Crown Prince delivered a speech where he
pointed out the importance of this contest emphasizing: “As you
know, Djavolja Varos has been selected as the only candidate from
our country and the number one wonder of nature in Europe. This is
extremely important for our country, for our tourism and the future
promotion of Serbia. Therefore, I invite all citizens of Serbia, our
compatriots abroad and our friends all over the world to join us to
vote for Djavolja Varos. This is a unique opportunity for all of us
to unite with a common goal, to show to ourselves and to others that
we can do and that we will do it”.
His Royal Highness following his speech
officially voted for Djavolja Varos to become one of the world’s
wonders.
The following also gave speeches, Mrs. Renata
Pindzo, Deputy Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Tourism
sector, Mrs. Jasna Dimitrijevic, Director of the Tourist
Organization of Belgrade Mrs. Vesna Raca, Deputy Director of the
Tourist Organization of Serbia, as well as Mr. Radomir Raicevic,
Director of Planinka.
As a part of the ceremony 15 drawings made by
children from Kursumlija were presented. The drawings were inspired
by Djavolja Varos and they represent this magnificent natural wealth
in the eyes of children.
Also present were: Mr. Dragomir Acovic, member of
the Privy Council, Prof Dragoljub Kavran, member of the Crown
Council, Mr. Dusan Babac, member of the Privy Council, Prof. dr.
Nenad Borojevic, Head of the Clinic for Oncology, Mr. Zlatko
Veljovic, Director of Prolom Spa and many others.
