THE ROYAL COUPLE ATTEND SIXTIETH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS OF HRH CROWN PRINCESS MARGARITA OF ROMANIA IN BUCHAREST

Bucharest, 27 March 2009 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine were present last night at a gala dinner in honour of the sixtieth birthday of HRH Princess Margarita of Romania.

This three day celebration started last night with magnificent event that took place at the Cec Palace, the first National Bank established by HM Carol I of Romania and it gathered over 100 guests from abroad including Their Majesties King Michael I and Queen Anne of Romania, HRH Prince Radu, HRH Prince Lorenz of Belgium, HIRH Dominic of Hapsburg and many others.

Today, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine together with the members of the Romanian Royal Family and their guests went on a trip to Sinaia where they will visit the Peles Castle.

In the evening Their Royal Highnesses will attend a gala performance at the National Opera in Bucharest in honour of HRH Crown Princess Margarita’s birthday.
