THE ROYAL COUPLE AT THE OPENING OF EXHIBITION OF SERBIAN MASTER PIECES IN BUCHAREST

Bucharest, 27 March 2009 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended the opening of the exhibition of Serbian master pieces, titled “The Century of Serbian Art – The Art in Serbia 1850 – 1950”, at the National Artistic Museum of Romania.

This exhibition is held under auspices and in the presence of President of Serbia Mr. Boris Tadic and President of Romania Mr. Traian Basescu, and is supported by the Ministry of culture of Serbia and Ministry of culture and religion of Romania.

This exhibition will show 150 most representative works of Serbian artists who have symbolized one of the most important periods in Serbian arts, which first announced and then marked a transition to new century and it will be opened until 14 June.

As a part of cooperation among countries in our region, National Museum in Belgrade and National Artistic Museum of Romania are starting long term cooperation which encompasses several exhibitions scheduled to be held in Bucharest and Belgrade.
