HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE HANDED OVER 15
ELECTRIC HOSPITAL BEDS TO CLINICAL CENTRE ZEMUN
Belgrade, 7 April 2009 – On the occasion of
International Health Day, HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited
Clinical and Hospital Centre in Zemun and delivered 15 electric
hospital beds to the department for intensive care for
cardiovascular diseases.
This donation is thanks to Lifeline Humanitarian
Organization in Chicago (Illinois) which is under the patronage of
HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
Her Royal Highness was welcomed by acting
director of the clinical centre Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Neskovic and
Prof. Dr. Biljana Putnikovic, head of cardiology department. Besides
seeing the refurbished departments of cardiology and surgery,
Princess Katherine visited parts of the hospital that have not been
renewed yet.
The Crown Princess mentioned in her speech: “It
is a great pleasure for me to be again in this hospital and to have
the opportunity to deliver this valuable donation of fifteen
electronic hospital beds. I am happy to see that this hospital has
grown and developed a lot since my last visit. This donation was
provided thanks to Lifeline Humanitarian Organization in Chicago and
Hospital Sister Mission Outreach”.
his donation was part of large project of helping
departments of intensive and semi-intensive care units in Serbian
hospitals, through which HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation
delivered over 160 out of 500 electric hydraulic beds. |
