TRADITIONAL EASTER RECEPTIONS FOR CHILDREN AT THE WHITE PALACE

Belgrade, 14 April 2009 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine organized traditional Easter receptions during the day at the White Palace for around a thousand children without parental care, Roma children and children with special needs.

Along with Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvostano also attended the traditional Easter receptions.

Mrs. Terral, the wife of Ambassador of France to Serbia H.E. Mr. Jean-François Terral, also took part in this event. She accompanied children from the home for children without parental care from Zvecanska.

During the receptions the children were given sweets and toys, and were entertained by the St. John The Theologist children’s church choir from Sabac. They performed the Serbian National Anthem “Boze pravde”, a traditional Easter song “Christ resurrects”, and songs “Let the love shine everywhere” and “Do you know who loves you the most”.

After the reception and the delivery presents the children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in the Park of the White Palace. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine did not hide her emotions as she spoke with the children.

Greeting the youngest children, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander said: “We will all have an opportunity to enjoy together beautiful moments on the occasion of Easter, the greatest Christian holiday. I want all of you to have a good time. We hope you will like the presents my wife Crown Princess Katherine and I have prepared for you”.
