Humanitarian Event in Athens at the
 “Β & Μ Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts & Music”

Under the auspices and in the presence of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine

Athens, 27 April 2009 - A humanitarian event took place last night in Athens organized by Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian Organization at the “Β & Μ Theocharakis Foundation for Fine Arts & Music”  under the auspices and in the presence of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia.

The objective of this humanitarian event is to help the urgent modernization of delivery rooms in Serbian hospitals supporting the “SAFE DELIVERY” project. The programme study is been undertaken by the Serbian Medical Committee of the HRH Princess Katherine Foundation with the collaboration of doctors from hospitals in Serbia.

It was a unique and enjoyable event, which included a visit to the important painting exhibition held at the “Β & Μ Theocharakis Foundation for Fine Arts & Music” titled “Neo-Hellenic Landscapes: 18th-21st century” many Greek painters participated.

Following the visit to the painting exhibition a concert for violin and piano was performed where everyone had the pleasure to enjoy two exceptional musicians. Violin performed by Regi Alexander Papa, who is currently studying at the Julliard School of Music with the famous violinist Kyung Wha Chung, winner of various national and international music contests. Piano was played by Nikos Tsalikis who studied at the Music Academy of Detmold in Germany and a recital in collaboration with the Rhine Opera in Dusseldorf. The breathtaking performance in musical plays of famous composers such as Bach, Brahms, Ysaye, Lutoslawski, Ravel, Waxman seduced the audience who enjoyed the musical notes that flooded the auditorium. A reception followed in the Café Merlin of the “Β & Μ Theocharakis Foundation for Fine Arts & Music”.

Among the attendees were: Mr. Dragan Petrovic, representatitve from the Serbian Embassy, the Deputy Mayor of Athens in Social Solidarity Mr Eleftherios Skiadas representing the Mayor of Athens Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis, the Deputy Mayor of Athens in Equality and Social Integration Mrs. Alexia Evert, Mrs. Liza Evert, Mr & Mrs Vassilis and Marina Theocharakis, the daughter and son of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Mrs. Alison Andrews and Mr. David Andrews, Mr & Mrs Nickolas and Matti Egon and many more.

The Greek companies who supported this event for the “SAFE DELIVERY” project were:
