CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AND PRINCESS KATHERINE
RECEIVE ASISTEL AWARDS
Belgrade, 8 June 2009. – Their Royal Highnesses
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine received
ASISTEL awards from for
supporting the project of “Teleassistance for citizens of Belgrade”.
Awards were delivered at Belgrade Assembly Hall
today, and among winners, besides Their Royal Highnesses, were the
City of Belgrade, City Secretariat of Social Affairs, Gerontology
Centre Belgrade, Hellenic Company, Banca Intesa, Telenor,
Municipalities of Cukarica and Savski venac, Red Cross of Cukarica,
Association of Cerebral Palsy of Cukarica Municipality, People’s
Office of the President of the Republic, Delta Humanitarian Fund,
Belgrade’s emergency medical service, Ministry of Labour and Social
Policy, Ministry of Health, Press Publishing Group and Grand Coffee.
Winners and guests were welcomed by Mr. Dragan Djilas, Mayor of
Belgrade, Mr. Vladan Djukic, City Secretary for Social services, Ms.
Radmila Zlatanovic, CEO of Asistel and Ms. Darinka Cicic,
Teleassistance’s program beneficiary.
During the first year of implementation of the
Teleassistance programme 250 of the most vulnerable elderly people
were encompassed into it from the Gerontology centre’s list.
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II
and Crown Princess Katherine extended their warmest regards to
everyone and thanks for the award, and expressed their strong
support for this and other alternative social care programs being
implemented in Belgrade and Serbia. |
