KING ALEXANDER I“
HELD IN SABAC ON SUNDAY
Belgrade, 31 August 2009 – Between three to four
thousand people attended the “Memorial of His Majesty King Alexander
I“ horse race yesterday at the Sabac Hippodrome, for the second
year. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II’s envoy
academician Prof. Dr Miroslav Gasic awarded the winner horse “Ela
mala” from Sabac stable and its trainer with a prestigious cup.
The “Memorial of His Majesty King Alexander I“
horse race was established in 1935, after assassination of HM King
Alexander I. Last year the race was held in Sabac for the first
time. This years’ event at Sabac Hippodrome gathered around fifty
best horses from Serbian stables, and was extremely well attended. |
