THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES ATTEND OPENING OF “100
YEARS OF SERBIAN ARTS” IN SERBIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCE
Belgrade, 7 September 2009 – Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine,
accompanied by their guests Ms. Catherine Saxton, owner of Saxton
Group International from New York, and Prof. Dr Stefano D’Anna,
Chancellor of European School
of Economics and Mr. Alessandro Nomellini Executive Director of
European School of Economics in New York attended the official
opening of “100 Years of Serbian Arts” exhibition at the Gallery of
Serbian Academy
of Science and Arts (SANU)
The exhibition consisted of Serbian paintings
from 1850 to 1950, the most dynamic period in Serbian history art.
Hundred and thirty masterpieces from more than fifty of the most
prominent Serbian painters are part of National Museum of Serbia
collection, and will be exhibited until October 18, 2009. The
opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of
Minister of Culture of Serbia, Serbian Academy of Science and Arts,
National Museum of Serbia, the diplomatic corps and the Serbian
artistic community. |
