CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL AIR
SHOW BATAJNICA 2009
Belgrade, 13 September 2009 – His Royal Highness
Crown Prince Alexander II attended today the big International Air
show held at Batajnica Airbase near Belgrade. After the official
opening of the show by the HE Mr. Dragan Sutanovac Minister of
Defence of Serbia, the spectacular program was performed by around
two hundred top military pilots and crew members from fifteen
countries, including Serbia.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander also visited the
accompanying exhibition of aircrafts, and spoke to Serbian pilots
and numerous citizens who stopped by to greet him. “We saw some
state-of-the-art aircraft at Batajnica Airbase today, but also we
noticed that our performed superbly and at the same level as their
colleagues from the best air forces in the world. That was my
strongest impression here today”, said the Crown Prince.
Batajnica 2009 International Air Show is the
second biggest air show held in Europe this year in terms of number
of countries and aircraft that took part, second only to
International Air Show in Le Bourget, near Paris, France. |
