THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES AT OPENING MICHELANGELO DRAWINGS EXHIBITION

Belgrade, 24 September 2009 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine together with Mr. Horst Tiefenthaler, great friend of the Royal Couple attended today the ceremonial opening of the exhibition of drawings by Michelangelo, organized by the Italian Embassy in Belgrade and Italian Institute for Culture.

The exhibition is showing drawings made by Michelangelo for one of his most famous paintings, Il Tondo Doni (also known as the Holy Family) and will be displayed at the Italian Institute for culture in Kneza Milosa 56 Street in Belgrade until October 15, 2009.

The original painting which was done in 1503 or 1504 is kept in Galleria Uffici in Florence. The exhibition was opened by the new director of Italian Institute for culture Ms Maria Maca.
