HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE ADDRESSES 16TH
INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF THE EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF GYNAECOLOGICAL
ONCOLOGY AT SAVA CENTRE
Belgrade, 12 October 2009 – Her Royal Highness
Crown Princess Katherine II addressed the 16th International Meeting
of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) last night
at Sava Centre in Belgrade. This is one of biggest scientific events
organized in Serbia this year, gathering around 1700 registered
participants, and it will be held 11-14 October at Belgrade’s Sava
Centre.
Participants from Serbia and almost all European
countries, as well as the United States, Brazil, India, China, Iran
and Japan, were addressed by HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Prof. Dr
Vesna Kesic, Chairperson of ESGO 16 Conference, Prof. Dr Gerald
Gitsch, President of ESGO and Prof. Dr Srdjan Djurdjevic, President
of Serbian Association of Gynaecological Oncology.
HRH Crown Princess Katherine emphasized in her
speech: “Gynaecological Oncology is a very complex field which has a
huge impact on health and well being of our women. I wish this
conference much success and that you gain new insights. I hope we
will have more Conferences at this level organized here in Serbia
and all across Europe”.
More than 90 top European experts will present
their papers during this conference, while the key-note lecture will
be held by Prof. Dr Harald Zur Hausen, a Nobel Prize Laureate in
Medicine in 2008. |
