THE “PINK RIBBON SHOPPING MONTH” OFFICIALLY
CLOSED AT USCE SHOPPING CENTER
Belgrade, 31 October 2009 - The “Pink ribbon
shopping month” that took place during October, the International
month of fighting against breast cancer was officially closed this
evening at Usce Shopping Center in Belgrade.
This very successful action, organized by the HRH
Crown Princess Katherine Foundation, Humanitarian Fund Katarina
Rebraca, the Ministry of Health of Serbia and the City Secretariat
of Health of Belgrade, with the support of MPC Properties, the owner
of the Usce Shopping Center, was closed with a mini concert of by
the famous Serbian pop singer Zeljko Vasic.
Numerous guests and journalists were addressed by
Mrs. Alison Andrews, the daughter of HRH Crown Princess Katherine on
her behalf, Ms. Katarina Rebraca, founder of the Katarina Rebraca
Humanitarian Fund, and Ms. Smiljka Dokic Jeremic, Marketing Director
of MPC Properties.
The joint message conveyed by all speakers was
that early detection and self examination are of the outmost
importance for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in the early
phase, which is absolutely necessary to successfully treat this
disease.
