CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER HOSTS WORKING
BREAKFAST FOR MEMBERS OF THE FRENCH-SERBIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Belgrade, 25 November 2009 - His Royal
Highness Crown Prince Alexander II hosted a working breakfast
for members of the French - Serbian Chamber of Commerce today at
the White Palace.
Guests were addressed by HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II, Mr. Costin Bork, the Chamber’s Vice-President and
Mr. Dusan Babac, member of the Privy Council.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander II greeted the
guests and emphasized: "It is a great pleasure to welcome you to
the White Palace. France is a country with whom Serbia has
excellent political, cultural and economic relations for
centuries. I understand that so far total French investment in
Serbia is over five hundred million US dollars, which is a great
support for our economy. I strongly believe that if work
together we can bring many more investors and I am willing to
offer my assistance and support to improve the situation further
in all of these areas", stated the Crown Prince.
Speech was also delivered by Mr. Borc,
Vice-President of French – Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
He pointed out that French companies are
steadily increasing their investments in Serbia and that so far
the capital they invested in our country through business deals,
exports and taxes make a huge contribution to Serbian revenue.
Mr. Bork also thanked very much His Royal Highness for his great
support for all these years pointing out that through joint
efforts they can help promote economic cooperation between
France and Serbia even more.
At the working breakfast there were
representatives of French Embassy and more than 35 companies,
including Lafarge BFC, CA Life, Sociète Generale, Elsys Eastern
Europe, Schneider Electric, Danone Adriatic, Saint Gobain and
many others.
The French – Serbian Chamber of Commerce has
over 80 members and these companies currently employ more than
6.000 people in Serbia. |
