CROWN PRINCE AT IT GLOBUS 2009 AWARD CEREMONY

Belgrade, 2 December 2009 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander attended today at the City Assembly an annual IT Globus 2009 award ceremony organized by Micro PC World.

Beside the Golden Globus award which was delivered for biggest IT contribution in 2009, other awards were delivered in the categories, the best IT journalist and the biggest IT miss in 2009. At this year’s IT Globus ceremony there was also an award for the best IT product, which was decided by votes sent to Mikro PC World by readers and visitors on the B92 portal.

Mikro PC World in collaboration with the Peoples Office organized a charity action under the slogan “IT Serbia wake up” with the aim to draw awareness about the bad conditions of IT equipment in Serbian schools as well as the low usage of the internet by educational institutions in Serbia. As a result of this action the IT department of the elementary school Jovan Jovanovic-Zmaj in Surdulica will be fully equipped. This school has 530 students.

This event was attended by: Mr. Zoran Alimpic, Vice President of the City Assembly, Mr. Slobodan Karanovic, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Mrs. Tatjana Pasic, Direcotr of the Peoples Office, Mr. Aleksandar Spasic, Director of the Mikro PC World and many others.
