PRINCESS KATHERINE MESSAGE FOR INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Belgrade, 3 December 2009 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine extended a message for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

“People with disabilities living in Serbia still face many challenges regarding education, employment, and social inclusion in general. Much has been done in recent years, but there is a long way ahead in continuing to build a truly inclusive and supportive society.

I also strongly believe that the continuous support of all United Nation Agencies in our country will help our authorities, medical professionals, social care providers and citizens in general to face these challenges in the best way possible”.
