H.R.H. PRINCESS KATARINA IN THE VISIT
OF INSTITUTE FOR ONCOLOGY AND RADIOLOGY

Her Royal Highness Princess Katarina visited today Institute for oncology and radiology in Pasterova St., together with Mrs. Lynn Montgomery, wife of the American Ambassador.

Princess Katarina visited first child oncology ward where she delivered clothes, toys and candies to little patients.

On that occasion, violinists Julian Rahlin from Lithuania and Dragan Radosavljević-Loford, participants of tomorrow’s humanitarian concert at Sava Center whose income will be donated to the Institute for oncology and radiology, played a short concert for the children.

Princess Katarina and management of the hospital visited afterwards the new child oncology ward that will be open soon. The construction of this ward is financed by donations collected at the “Dream Ball”, organized by Mrs. Montgomery.

Talking with director of the hospital Prof. Dr. Borojević and his associates, Princess Katarina expressed her support to the health workers that work in very difficult conditions and emphasized her willingness to help them in their noble endeavors as much as she can.

“In my long-standing humanitarian work I have seen big tragedies and tragic destinies, but every time I am deeply touched by seeing children struck by illness. Help we deliver today is symbolic but I know that sometimes kind word and attention can be of great help to the one in trouble”, emphasized Princess Katarina.

Director Borojević expressed his gratitude to Princess Katarina for the care and effort she puts in her everyday humanitarian activities, as well as for the help that Foundation of Princess Katarina delivered today.
