DON QUIXOTE BALLET FOR CHILDREN WITHOUT
PARENTAL ORGANIZED BY
PRINCESS KATHERINE’S FOUNDATION
Belgrade, 4 January 2010 – Crown Princess
Katherine’s Foundation in cooperation with the National Theatre
of Belgrade and Sava Centre organized today Don Quixote ballet
for children without parental care as a part of “Children
Helping Children” humanitarian action.
This event was organized with the aim to give
children that are less fortunate than others an opportunity to
enjoy the holidays. Before the ballet performance children were
addressed by Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II
and Crown Princess Katherine as well as His Eminence
Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral.
Also present were Mrs. Alison Andrews, the
daughter of Princess Katherine, with her daughter Stephanie and
sons Nicolas and Michael as well as friends and supporters of
the Crown Princess from Chicago Mrs. Kathy Fanslow and Mrs.
Marisa Basile.
Don Quixote ballet is the first show in 2010
performed by the national Theatre of Belgrade supporting the
humanitarian work of Princess Katherine. This show was performed
and set up by the famous Russian dancer and choreographer from
Moscow, Vladimir Vasiljev. Protagonists of the ballet were:
KITRI / DULSINEJA: Bojana Žegarac, BAZIL: Jovica Begojev, DON
Quixote: Gleb Sumanov, SANCHO PANSA: Svetozar Adamović, ESPADA:
Milan Rus, MERCEDES: Tamara Ivanović,
GAMASH: Denis Kasatkin, LORENZO: Jovica
Mitrović, FRIENDS: Milja Đurić, Ivana Kozomara, GIPSY: Olga
Olćan, QUEEN DRIADA: Aleksandra Bibić, CUPID: Jovana
Nestorovska.
With every sold ticket one child without
parental care had the opportunity to attend the show. Present
were children from the Homes for children without parental care
from the towns: Nis, Aleksinac, Negotin, Loznica, Nova Crnja,
Uzice, children from Kosovo and Metohija from Association
Kosovski bozur in Paracin and Roma children from Borca, Belgrade
and Roma Community Centre.
Among many present were also Ambassadors of
Canada, China, Pakistan, Iraq, Morocco, India, charge de affair
of the United State Embassy, members of the Crown Council and
many other distinguished guests.
This event was sponsored by Nokia Siemens

the area of telecommunications and it is recognized in over 150
