INSTITUTIONS VISITED BY CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE ON CHRISTMAS
DAY
Belgrade, 7 January 2010 – HRH Crown Princess
Katherine spent Christmas Day traditionally visiting children
hospitals and childcare institutions.
Before the traditional family Christmas
lunch, Crown Princess Katherine together with Mrs. Kathy Fanslow
President of the Board of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization in
Chicago and Mrs. Marisa Basile visited orphans in the home for
children without parental care in Zvecanska Street. After that
they paid a visit to the University Children’s Hospitals in
Tirsova Street and Mother and Child Institute in New Belgrade
where they delivered toys and sweets to the children, bringing
them warmth and happiness for the holiday season, and showing
them that they are not alone and that her Foundation have them
always in mind. The children in University Children’s Hospitals
in Tirsova had the pleasure to enjoy an amusing program prepared
for them by the famous Serbian composer and entertainer for
children Minja Subota.
As a part of Princess Katherine’s Christmas
activities, she participated and supported the work of the
Culinary Association of Serbia that prepared a Christmas lunch
for more than 100 people that was served in Daily Centre for old
people. This event was supported by the Assembly of the City of
Belgrade and was also attended by HE Mr. John Morrison, the
