HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER ATTENDS OPENING
OF 47TH INTERNATIONAL HOTEL AND RESTAURANT CONFERENCE
Belgrade, 18 January 2010 – HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II and Mrs. Alison Andrews, daughter of HRH Crown
Princess Katherine attended today the opening of the 47th Annual
Congress of International Hotel and Restaurant Association at
the Continental Hotel opened under the general topic “New trends
in hotel business and Balkans as a new tourist market in Europe”
At the opening ceremony speeches were
delivered by Dr. Ghassan Aidi, President of the International
Hotel and Restaurant Association (IH&RA), Mr. Frederick Pierret,
Deputy Secretary General of UNWTO, Mr. Tomislav Momirovic,
President of HORES, Mr. Mladjan Dinkic, Minister of Economy and
Regional Development.
After the opening ceremony Prof. Goran
Petkovic, State Secretary for Tourism moderated panel
discussions tackling issues of investment opportunities in
Serbia. Ministries of Tourism of Romania, Montenegro Croatia,
Bulgaria and Slovenia participated in this section.
The Congress will be opened from 18th to 21st
January at Continental Hotel and will gather over 200
representatives of the Hotel and Restaurant Industry from
Serbia, Balkan region as well as whole world.
As a part of the program Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine will host tonight at the White Palace a dinner for the
participants of the Congress. |
