THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES IN WASHINGTON

Washington, 4 February 2010. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine came to Washington for the National Prayer Breakfast. Apart from Their Royal Highnesses Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of Serbia Mr Ivica Dacic came too.

The following spoke to the Prayer Breakfast President Barack Obama, Prime Minister of Spain Senor Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero The Honourable Hillary Clinton Secretary of State. In addition many senators, congressmen and foreign leaders and dignitaries were also present.

In addition Crown Prince Alexander gave speeches about Serbia and the European Union at the following locations. The Wilson Centre and His Royal Highness was welcomed by the Wilson Centre President Lee Hamilton, the United States Institute of Peace and Georgetown University.

The Crown Prince fully supports the work of President Tadic and the Government of Serbian for entering the European Union and explained to the American audiences the important need for membership of the European Union. The Crown Prince has extensive contacts in the United States and considers the relations between Serbia and the United States very important.

The Ambassador of Serbia to the United States Mr Vladimir Petrovic gave a dinner buffet reception in honour of Their Royal Highnesses at his residence Tuesday 2 February. The reception was attended by many people including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of Serbia Mr Ivica Dacic, Senator and Mrs George Voinovic, Secretary and Mrs. La Hood, United States Department for Transportation, ambassadors, State Department Officials and many Washington dignitaries.
