THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES HOST A CONFERENCE
FOR THE STUDENT UNION OF SERBIA
AT THE WHITE PALACE
Belgrade, 22 February 2010 - Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine hosted today a Conference of the Student Union of
Serbia (SUS) at the White Palace. This Conference was organized
to present the results of a polling of the student population in
Serbia 2009. The polling was undertaken by SUS among more than
3090 students from 49 Faculties and 6 State Universities in
Serbia. The Conference was held under auspices of HRH Crown
Prince Alexander Foundation for Education.
Guests were addressed by HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II, Ms. Silvija Panovic Djuric, representative of
Council of Europe Office in Serbia, Mr. Vladimir Mikic from HRH
Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for Education, Ms. Natasa
Sajlovic, coordinator for education and science of SUS, and Mr.
Dragan Stanojevic, from Institute for social research of Faculty
of Philosophy in Belgrade.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander II greeted the
guests and emphasized: "I firmly believe that our future success
and prosperity is dependent on our youth. We must continue to
invest in the education of our – by all accounts – extremely
talented youth”.
Project “Research of student population 2009”
has been supported by the Fund for open society and European
Council, as a part of joint Project of European Union and
Council of Europe “Development of Higher Education System in
Serbia”. |
