LIONS CLUB OF PIRAEUS SUPPORTS CHILDREN OF SERBIA

Athens, 23 February 2010 - A humanitarian dinner was organized by Lions Club of Piraeus in honor of HRH Crown Princess Katherine for the support of the humanitarian work of “Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian Organization” on Friday, 19 February at the Yacht Club of Piraeus.

During the event a film were projected depicting the humanitarian work of HRH Crown Princess Katherine and was followed by a short sentimental speech by HRH Crown Princess Katherine which thanked the Lions Club of Piraeus for the contribution in the work of Lifeline Hellas, noted the joy of giving these difficult times and invited the people to keep on the donations and the humanitarian aid to Serbia and to others less privileged areas.

The attendees were welcomed by HRH Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia, the President of Lions Club of Piraeus Mrs. Elpida Vaptisma, the governor of Lions Club Mr. Nikos Sevrisarianos and H. E. Mr. Dragan Zupanjevac, the Ambassador of Serbia in Greece. Among the attendees were Mr. David Andrews, HRH Crown Princess Katherine’s son and his spouse Dr. Aggeliki Margaritis – Andrews, Mrs. Betty Roumeliotis, HRH Crown Princess Katherine’s sister, Mrs. Katherine Katrivanou, Vice Mayor of Municipality of Athens, Mrs. Borjana Zupanjevac, spouse of the Ambassador of Serbia in Greece, Mr. Timoleon Tselondres, regional director of National Bank and Mr. George Argyropoulos, vice governor of Lions Club.
