HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AT OPENING OF
CEREMONIAL HALL BELGRADE UNIVERSITY
Belgrade, 10 March 2010 – HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II attended today the opening of the Ceremonial Hall at
Belgrade University and addressed guests. The Ceremonial Hall was
officially opened by H.E. Dr Zarko Obradovic, Minister of Education
and Prof. Dr. Branko Kovacevic, Rector of Belgrade University, who
also delivered speeches.
Also present at the ceremony were Ms. Nadica
Momirov, Assistant Minister of Culture, Mr. Vlade Divac, President
of Serbian Olympic Committee, Academicians Mr. Ljubisa Rakic, Vice
President of Serbian Academy of Science and Arts (SASA) and Mr.
Dimitrije Stefanovic, Secretary General of SASA, H.E. Mrs. Mercedes
Martinez Valdez, Cuban Ambassador to Serbia, and many other
A special artistic program was performed by the
Choir Obilic, with conductor Ms. Darinka Matic Marovic.
The reconstruction of the Ceremonial Hall started
in 2009, and was implemented in cooperation with the Republic
Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments. The whole project
was financed by the Ministry of Education.
