ROYAL COUPLE ATTEND CONCERT OF EUROPEAN STUDENT’S CHAMBERS ORCHESTRA

Belgrade, 28 March 2010 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, attended the concert of European student’s chambers orchestra, organized by the Swedish embassy and hosted by the Swedish Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Mr Krister Bringéus at Belgrade Philharmonic Hall this evening.

This magnificent event was very well attended along with members of Serbian cultural and political life, as well as the Diplomatic Corps in Serbia.

The European Student Chamber Orchestra is a part of the project for “Widening participation on the road to membership”. The aim of the project is to bring the Balkan academies up to European standard in higher music education. The members of the Orchestra are students from music academies from 18 European countries, including Serbia.

The programme included challenging musical works for string orchestra by Mozart, Santoro, Janacek and Piazolla.
