BALLET SCHOOL “LUJ DAVIČO” IN ATHENS OWING TO
H.R.H. PRINCESS KATARINA

Owing to the engagement of H.R.H. Princess Katarina students of Secondary ballet school “Luj Davičo” stay in Athens from January 13th to 17th where they gave two performances for the Athens audience yesterday and today.

The idea of this guest appearance of the school “Luj Davičo” in Athens was initiated by H.R.H. Princess Katarina who was impressed by the performance of this young gifted group in Belgrade National Theatre and recommended that their talent and skills be presented in Greece.

Using the opportunity of their visit to Greece, Princess Katarina provided four-day accommodation for 50 students and professors at the Metropolitan Hotel in Athens and owing to her friends two performances have been organized.

The ensemble gave performance of “Nutcracker” at the American College yesterday and at the Athens College today, receiving ovations from the Greek public.

His Excellency the Yugoslav Ambassador to Athens, Mr. Dušan Bataković, attended yesterday’s performance and organized a reception for these talented young artists at the Yugoslav Embassy today.
