THE ROYAL COUPLE ATTEND OPENING OF “LITTLE AUSTRALIA” DISPLAY AT BELGRADE ZOO

Belgrade, 15 April 2010 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today the opening of the “Little Australia” display at the Belgrade Zoo, which hosts specimens and exhibits from this continent. At the opening were also present Mr. Dragan Djilas, the Mayor of Belgrade, H.E. Ms. Clare Birgin, Ambassador of Australia to Serbia, H.E. Ms. Hana Hubackova, ambassador of the Czech Republic to Serbia, Mr. Dusan Kovacevic, member of Serbian Academy of Science and Art and member of the Crown Council, members of the diplomatic corps, religious and community leaders, celebrities from cultural and public life of Belgrade and Serbia, and numerous visitors.

Mr. Vuk Bojovic, the Manager of Belgrade Zoo, greeted the distinguished guests and visitors, and expressed his satisfaction that this important project, supported by the Australian Embassy in Belgrade and the City of Belgrade, was successfully implemented.
