CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II AND CROWN PRINCESS
KATHERINE ATTEND DECORATION CEREMONY FOR MR. NENAD POPOVIC AT THE
RUSSIAN EMBASSY
Belgrade, 16 April 2010 – Their Royal Highnesses
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended
today a ceremony at the Russian Embassy, where Mr. Nenad Popovic was
decorated with the Medal of Friendship, awarded to him by the
President Dmitry Medvedev of Russian Federation, for his
achievements in strengthening Serbian – Russian relations in the
field of economy and culture. H.E. Mr. Alexander Konuzin, the
ambassador of Russian Federation to Serbia, presented the medal to
Mr. Popovic during a ceremony attended by members of the diplomatic
corps and representatives of Serbian political and public life,
among whom were H.E. Mr. Ivica Dacic, first deputy Prime Minister
and Minister of the Interior, H.E. Dr Rasim Ljajic, Minister of
Labour and Social Policy, His Eminence Metropolitan of Montenegro
and the Littoral Amfilohije, Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, President of the
Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), Dr Vojislav Kostunica, President of
Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Mr. Vuk Draskovic, President of
Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO), and many other distinguished guests.
Mr. Nenad Popovic is the Vice President of
Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and a Member of the Parliament of
Serbia, and President of the Board of ABS Holdings, a company
located in Serbia and Russia. He is the first Serbian citizen to
receive this Medal. |
