HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE ATTENDS MEDITERRANEAN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SUMMIT IN ATHENS

Athens, 7 June 2010 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine and Mrs. Alison Andrews, daughter of Princess Katherine attended the official opening of the Mediterranean sustainable energy summit in Athens, Greece. At the event which was chaired by the Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, several prominent key-note speakers addressed the participants, with H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and H.E. Ms. Tina Birbili, Minister of environment, energy and climate change among them.

Mediterranean sustainable energy summit focused on important issues of sustainable energy development in the region of the Mediterranean, such as Copenhagen summit and its implications for Southeast Europe and the Mediterranean, Climate Change policy in low-growth world economy, and how the public and private sectors need to cooperate to achieve real results in energy sustainability.
