RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II AND CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AT THE SERBIAN AMBASSADOR'S RESIDENCE IN STOCKHOLM

Stockholm, 17 June 2010 – A reception at the Serbian Ambassador's Residence in Stockholm took place in honour of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine. The reception was hosted by HE Ninoslav Stojadinovic, Serbian Ambassador to Sweden with his spouse.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Katherine arrived yesterday in Stockholm for the wedding of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria. Their Royal Highnesses are guests of Their Majesties King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia and are staying at the Royal Palace.

At the reception The Royal Couple was welcomed and greeted by distinguished Serbs that live and work in Sweden.

At the very beginning Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by HE Ambassador Ninislav Stojadinovic who stated:“ The Royal Couple is invited by the Royal Family of Sweden to attend the wedding ceremony of HRH Crown Princess Victoria and they will be representing Serbia at this event“.

A surprise was made for Their Royal Highnesses, flowers were given to them by five year old Natalija Gutic, a girl whose life was saved thanks to a valuable donation of an oscillator incubator the Princess Katherine’s Foundation gave to Tirsova Hospital in 2005. During that emotional encounter little Natalia thanked The Royal Couple for saving her life. The meeting was helped by Ambassador of Serbia to Sweden, Mrs. Zorica Salijevic, former Head of Public Relations of the Royal Family, who lives and works in Sweden and Ann-Katrin Stefanovic, godmother of little Natalija.
