CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER’S STATEMENT
REGARDING DECISION BY
INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE ON KOSOVO
Belgrade, 22 July 2010 – Regarding the
decision by the International Court of Justice on Kosovo in
the Hague today, HRH Crown Prince Alexander stated the
following: “We are disappointed about the opinion of the
International Court of Justice in the Hague announced today.
It clearly shows that force has prevailed over International
Justice! By making the decision that independence is
irreversible, the Court confirmed that it basically didn’t
have its’ own standpoint, and that it didn’t actually need
such a long time to present to the public decision made by
those who brought tragedy and lawlessness to Kosovo and
Metohija by their policy and their deeds.
The Crown Prince wrote letters to
President Boris Tadic, Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and
Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic stating “despite today’s
decision by the International Court of Justice, I wish that
you and your associates will continue with the righteous
struggle to preserve our country’s sovereignty, security of
our people and territorial integrity. In addition I wish you
all the best for your endeavours in keeping peace and good
relations in our region with all neighbours for the sake of
all citizens. I also wish you success in securing the future
of Serbia in the European Union and prosperity for all
citizens”. |
