ROYAL FAMILY ATTEND ENTHRONEMENT OF PATRIARCH IRINEJ OF
SERBIA AT PEC PATRIARCHY IN KOSOVO
Belgrade, 3 October 2010 – Their Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II, Crown Princess Katherine, Prince Philip, Prince Vladimir and
Princess Brigitta attended today the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch
Irinej of Serbia in Pec Patriarchy in Kosovo and Metohija.
Their Royal Highnesses were present at the Holy Liturgy at
the Patriarchy at 10 am and for the lunch at 1 pm. The enthronement was also
attended by H.E. Mr. Boris Tadic, President of Serbia, all Bishops of the
Serbian Orthodox Church, numerous distinguished guests from Serbia and abroad,
as well as a great number of citizens from Kosovo and Metohija and Serbia.
There were also present H. E. Archbishop of Nova Justiniana
and All Cyprus Chrysostomus II, H. E. Monsignor Kurt Koch, President of the
Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, high representatives of all
Christian Orthodox Churches from Europe, representatives of Christian churches
and Islamic religion in Serbia H. E. Monsignor Stanislav Hocevar, Roman Catholic
Metropolitan and Archbishop of Belgrade, Mr. Muhamed ef. Jusufspahic, Mufti of
Serbia, Reis – ul – Ulema of Islamic community of Serbia Mr. Adem Zilkic, Mr.
Milorad Pupovac, member of the Croatian Parliament, members of the diplomatic
corps in Serbia H.E. Mr. Alexander Konuzin, Ambassador of Russian Federation and
H.E. Mr. Demosthenes Stoidis, Ambassador of Greece, and many others.
The ceremony was also attended by Ms. Lucy Attwood, friend of
HRH Prince Philip, Mr. Dusan Babac, member of the Privy Council, Prof. Dr
Dragoljub Kavran, member of the Crown Council and Mr. Vladan Zivulovic, member
of the Crown Cabinet. |
