CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AT “A TOAST TO FRIENDSHIP” IN THE
NATIONAL THEATRE IN HONOUR OF PATRIARCH IRINEJ OF SERBIA
Belgrade, 5 October 2010 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II attended today a formal academy “A toast to friendship” for the
enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia at the National Theatre
in Belgrade. In the theatre, His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia addressed
the public for the first time since the enthronement at Pec Patriarchy on Sunday
in Kosovo. The academy was attended by many distinguished guests, among who were
His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, members of diplomatic corps and many
other prominent members of spiritual, public and cultural life of Serbia.
A very interesting cultural and spiritual program took place,
with the choirs “Obilic” and “Belgrade Men’s Choir”, together with the Orchestra
of Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binicki”, and famous conductors Darinka Matic
– Marovic, Vladimir Rumenic and Vojkan Borisavljevic, opera stars Radmila
Bakocevic, Sanja Kerkez, Oliver Njego, Li Huan, and singers Predrag Gojkovic,
Merima Njegomir and Snezana Beric. |
