THE CHANCELLERY OF H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND
PRINCESS KATARINA H.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Princess Katarina
attended yesterday at the Theological Faculty in Belgrade celebration of
Saint Sava Day. His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle served a holly
liturgy and a traditional Saint Sava academy under the subject “Christ,
Alpha and Omega” has been organized at the amphitheatre of the Faculty. Beside Their Royal Highnesses, representatives of Federal
and Republic Government, representatives of the Serbian Orthodox church,
other churches and religious communities and
Diplomatic Corps attended the academy. At the National Theatre in Belgrade, Their Royal
Highnesses attended performance marking Saint Sava day under the patronage
of the Republic Ministry of Religion and Humanitarian organization of the
Serbian Orthodox Church “Philanthropy”, where children with special
needs, children without parental care and children refugees were delivered
packages with school stationary. Packages were provided by “Philanthropy” Foundation
and Embassy of Netherlands in Belgrade. Crown Prince and his wife accepted
the invitation of the hosts to personally deliver packages to the children,
together with other respectable guests. Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Princess Katarina were
also guests at slava celebration at Primary school for children with
impaired hearing “Radivoj Popović” in Zemun. His Holiness Serbian
Patriarch Pavle cut the slava cake and children organized special cultural
program for numerous guests. H.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar II attended last night
Saint Sava Academy under the patronage of the Serbian Goverment at Student
Cultural Center where Scholarship Fund for the best pupils, students and
candidates for doctor's degree of the Universities of Serbia has been
promoted. On that ocasion, Serbian Prime Minister Dr. Zoran Đinđić
delivered scholarships to several students. Serbian Patriarch Pavle, representatives of Federal and
Republic Government, rector of Belgrade University Prof. Marija Bogdanović
and deans of Faculties in Serbia attended the academy. At the Faculty of Law in Belgrade Crown Prince Aleksandar
II attended oratory competition of Faculties
of Law in Yugoslavia. In front of the numerous audience, students from
Yugoslavia and guests from Macedonia and the Republic of Srpska competed in
