ROYAL FAMILY CELEBRATED PATRON SAINT DAY
Belgrade, 13 December 2010 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II, Crown Princess Katherine, Mr. Austin Pritchard, and Sir
Desmond De Silva, celebrated today The Royal Family’s Patron Saint Day – Saint
Andrew the First Called in the Royal Palace in Belgrade.
In the morning after the Divine Liturgy served by His
Holiness Patriarch of Serbia Irinej and His Grace Bishop of Sumadija Jovan, the
Royal Family hosted lunch for the leaders of the religious communities and
members of the Advisory Bodies of the Crown.
Following the celebration of St. Patrons Day, St. Andrew the
First Called, two Slava receptions took place at The White Palace in the
afternoon and evening. Their Royal Highnesses welcomed representatives of the
Government, Diplomatic Corps, Advisory Bodies of the Crown, as well as the city
and town Mayors, academics, representatives of the Armed Forces, Gendarmerie,
monarchy clubs, international organizations, cultural institutions, sports
associations, media representatives, health institutions, and numerous
distinguished persons from the cultural, political, business, academic and
public life of Serbia.
Among many receptions were attended by: HE Mr. Clemens Koja,
Austrian Ambassador to Serbia, HE Luis de Almeida Sampaio, Ambassador of
Portugal, HE Mr. Alexander Konuzin, Russian Ambassador to Serbia, HE Mrs. Mary
Warlick, Ambassador of the United States of America, HE Mr. Wolfram Maas,
Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany, HE Mr. Demosthenes Stoidis,
Ambassador of Greece to Serbia, HE Mr. Ali Riza Colak, Turkish Ambassador to
Serbia, HE Mr. Dante Coehlo de Lima, Brazilian Ambassador to Serbia, HE Mr.
Mohamed Issiaga Kourouma, Ambassador of Republic of Guinea, HE Mr. Muhammad
Nawaz Chaudhary, Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. |
