PRINCESS KATHERINE DELIVERS HUMANITARIAN AID TO CLINIC FOR ENDOCRINOLOGY AND TIRSOVA HOSPITAL

Belgrade, 24 February 2011 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine, accompanied by her good friend and donor from Greece Mrs. Kaliroi Apostolidu Konstantas, delivered today Roxton biomagnetic therapy machines for treatment of diabetes to the Clinic for Endocrinology of Clinical Centre of Serbia and University Children’s Hospital in Tirsova.

The Roxton biomagnetic therapy machine is the invention of the Chinese doctor and physicist Dr Vang, who was awarded a special prize by the Chinese president for this invention. This machine induced improvement in 65% and 93% of patients with diabetes type 1 and type 2, as shown in clinical studies. This machine will be used as supplementary therapy.

Under the auspices of TRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, the Clinic for endocrinology of the Clinical Centre of Serbia started a Unit for diabetes in pregnancy in 2003, and the Crown Princess Katherine Foundation donated valuable equipment to this unit, which has so far assisted 31 women with diabetes to have healthy babies. HRH Crown Princess Katherine and Ms. Konstantas have visited that department today.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine and her Foundation have been among the greatest donors to the University Children’s hospital in Tirsova.
