CHILDREN HELP CHILDREN AT MASQUERADE BIRTHDAY PARTY OF LIFELINE HELLAS

Athens, 1 March 2011 – The third birthday of Alexander, grandson of Their Royal Highnesses, and their good friends Lydia and Eleonora Boukouvalas was celebrated together with a splendid Carnival masquerade party at the nursery school “Mikroi Prigipes”.

Within the Lifeline Hellas campaign "Children helping Children" the charity organized a special event so that all the toys offered for the birthdays will be given to 1.200 orphans at the annual Easter celebration to be held at the White Palace in Belgrade.

The event was attended by the proud parents of Alexander, son Mr. David Andrews with his spouse Dr. Angi Margariti – Andrews, daughter Mrs. Alison Andrews, Dr. Fani Margaritis and Mrs. Eleni Margaritis, Dr. Zisis Boukouvalas with her spouse Alkistis Prinou – Boukouvalas with their children who celebrated the birthdays of Eleonora, Lydia and their son Konstantino, Mrs. Emi Trikardos member of board of Lifeline Hellas, Mrs. Marina Vernicos, Mrs. Fani Leventis, Mrs. Aggeliki Mastrominas, Mrs. Kelly Xyni. During the event the children had the pleasure to enjoy stories, choreography, interactive theater, animation and many other activities.

The event was attended by little Theodora, a girl who came from Kosovo to Greece suffering from leukemia. Mrs Marianna Vardinoyiannis and “Elpida” organization provided Theodora all medical help, surgery and accommodation in our Greece in collaboration with Lifeline Hellas. Thanks to all this wonderful help and care Theodora is alive today.

In her moving speech HRH Princess Katherine referred to the joy of giving and charity work in Greece and Serbia.
