PRINCESS KATHERINE ATTENDS OPENING OF THE EDUCATION FAIR

Belgrade, 11 March 2011 – Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine attended today the ceremonial opening of the 8th International Educational Fair – EduFair 2011 at the “Continental” Hotel in Belgrade.

Opening speeches were delivered by HRH Crown Princess Katherine, H.E. Mr. Wolfram Maas, German ambassador to Serbia since Germany is the guest of honour of EduFair 2011, Mr. Slobodan Jaukovic, Deputy Minister of Education and Prof. Danilo Golijanin, in the name of OIVIVIO Consulting Services, the organizer of the Fair.

EduFair is an event where students from high schools can in one place gather information necessary for their choosing of the best-suited faculties for them, as well as for future careers. Participation from more than 80 higher educational institutions from Serbia and ten foreign countries is expected, as well as more than 10.000 visitors. This years’ EduFair slogan is: “What would you study?”

HRH Crown Prince Alexander is the Founder and Patron of Crown Prince Alexander’s Foundation for Education which was established in 2006 and is committed to advancing education, academic research in Serbia, to address the outflow of brilliant young academics and to promote Serbian cultural heritage.

Within the general objective of Crown Prince Alexander to promote democratic values and economic development in our country, the Foundation is dedicated to opening opportunities for talented young people in their future development and careers.

The Foundation links Serbian education institutions with reputable international institutions and forms highly educated well-trained young professionals, connecting Serbian youth to the business community and to the world.

The EduFair will take place from March 11-13, 2011, from 10am to 6pm.
