THE CHANCELLERY OF H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II H.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar II
offered a reception in the Royal Palace to the grantees of the Royal House
of Karađorđević Fund, aimed at the assistance to the most
gifted students of the final years of Yugoslavian universities. The stipendists, 101 of them from 43
areas of science and arts and crafts, received each an annual grant
amounting to 2.556 Euros. In the presence of the numerous
journalists, Director of the Fund Arch. Dragomir Acović addressed the
students and invited guests, emphasizing the importance of creation of the
new scientific and cultural elite for the modern Yugoslavia. Crown Prince Aleksandar II told the
students that it is his firm belief they shall finish their studies with
full flourish, and that they would be offered an opportunity to continue
post graduate studies at some of the most prestigious universities in the
World. He asked them never to forget where they originated from, and to stay
the best. When once they are recognized as such, they should remember where
they came from and, if possible, to return back. On behalf of the students Miss Angelina
Tošić student of the final year of the Faculty of Theatrical Arts in
Belgrade, thanked their Royal Highnesses for the support and the opportunity
to reach the summit of their professional career. This event was attended by the
representatives of the Serbian Government, the Church, Universities, members
of Directory Board of the Fund, members of the Scholarship Committee, Crown
