THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES VISIT SMEDEREVO
HUMANTIARIAN DELIVERY TO THE DAILY CENTER AND HOSPITAL IN SMEDEREVO
Smederevo, 7 April 2011 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince
Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited Smederevo today and met with the
Mayor Mr. Predrag Umičević, the representatives of the Rotary club from
Smederevo and representatives of The Day Care Centre of the Society for the care
of mentally disadvantaged persons "Sunce“ and the Health Centre where they
delivered humanitarian aid in food products.
When Their Royal Highnesses arrived in Smederevo they first
visited the atelier of the painter Zoran Kuzmanović. Mr. Kuzmanović is a famous
artist from Smederevo and a member of the Rotary Club. After that Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine arrived in the
Town Hall where they were met by mayor of Smederevo Predrag Umičević, with whom
they shared a warm conversation. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander in
his speech commended the efforts of the town authorities in setting up a good
business climate and wished them to keep up the good work for the benefit of all
the citizens of Smederevo.
After that, Their Royal Highnesses visited The Day Care
Centre of the Society for the care of mentally disadvantaged persons "Sunce“
where they delivered humanitarian aid.
Then followed a visit to the City Archive of Smederevo, where
Their Royal Highnesses visited an exhibition organized in honour of the 90th
anniversary of death of His Majesty King Peter I. After the exhibition, the
Royal couple walked through the centre of Smederevo and chatted with many
citizens. The visit to Smederevo concluded in the Health Centre with another
humanitarian delivery. |
