CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER OPENS SEVENTH INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT
OF INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGISTS
Belgrade, 9 April 2011 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince
Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended official opening of the
Seventh International Summit of Interventional Cardiologists
today at Hotel M,
Best Western. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II officially opened the
congress which is held from April 9-12, 2011.
Beside His Royal Highness, the gathering was also addressed
by Professor Miodrag Ostojic, President of The Serbian Heart Foundation, Prof.
Nedeljkovic, Doc. Dr. Nevena Karanovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of
Health and Dr. Finci from Geneva, Switzerland.
In his speech the Crown Prince emphasized: “I am proud that
my wife, Crown Princess Katherine is a member of the board of the Foundation
“For Your Heart“ which will help reduce the number of deaths from cardiovascular
disease.
Being fully aware of the times we live in and that mortality
of cardiovascular diseases is very high, I hope that this four day event will
provide some new knowledge and new skills to its participants.
Those new methods should help you to better, faster and more
efficiently treat your patients. I hope that you will discuss the ways of
prevention of cardiovascular diseases, as well, because it is extremely
important”.
The Seventh International Summit of Interventional
Cardiologists (BASICS+) is held under the auspices of Their Royal Highnesses
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine.
During the Summit, there will be training courses on
bifurcations, multivessel diseases and thrombus aspiration; the top
international experts from this field will perform numerous interventions on
Serbian patients.
The Summit will be attended by a large number of domestic and
international experts who will be guests of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince
Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine at a reception at the Royal Palace, on
Saturday, April 9, at 7 pm. |
