THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES PATRONS OF THE 51st GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF MEDICAL STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATIONS

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Princess Katarina are patrons of the 51^st General Assembly of International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), to be held on Kopaonik, from 3^rd to 9^th March this year.

The host of this gathering is Yugoslav Medical Students’ Committee for International Cooperation (YUMSIC) that marks its 50^th anniversary of IFMSA membership this year.

This event, the biggest among the international medical students’ gatherings, will bring together about 700 delegates representing about 80 countries, members of IFMSA, and their faculties of medicine, as well as high representatives of almost all NGOs from the UN system that IFMSA has official relationship with.

Primary goal of the Assembly is to establish medical students’ activities in the field of public health, and to develop unique global network of future health care workers.

HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar II, together with HRH Princess Katarina and HRH Prince Filip, will formally open the 51^st IFMSA Assembly at the “Grand” hotel, at 20.30 on 3^rd of March 2002.
