CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE SUPPORTS SERBIAN OSTEOPOROSIS SOCIETY WITHIN ACTION MARKING THE WORLD HEALTH DAY
Belgrade, 8 April 2012 - Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine attended today the „Hour of public exercise“ that took place at the Sport Centre „Olimp“ in organization of Serbian Osteoporosis Society, working under patronage of the Crown Princess Katherine.
The event „Hour of public exercise“ is organized as a part of the program marking the World health day, and it gathered women who had free medical check-ups organized by Health Centre Zvezdara and Osteoporosis Society.
At the ceremony speeches were delivered by HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Prof Dr. Aleksandar Dimic, President of Osteoporosis Society, Director of Olymp Sport Centre and representative of the Zvezdara Municipality.
HRH Crown Princess Katherine emphasized: “I am very happy to be here with you today, as part of the activities marking the World Health Day. I am a patron of Serbian Osteoporosis Society, and I joined this action with a great pleasure. Osteoporosis is an insidious disea that affects many women, but at the same time the disease that can be treated. Therefore, it is very important that our women get the right information about this disease, and to have possibilities to discover it and treat it on time. Prevention is of outmost importance, and I appeal to all our women to have regular medical check-ups“.
