CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE VISITS NIS
Nis, 25 April 2012 - Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine visited Nis today. Crown Princess Katherine attended the opening of the renovated department of preventive and paediatric dentistry at the Clinic of Dentistry in Nis, visited a Safe House and the elementary school “Vozd Karadjordje” where she delivered valuable donations and presents.
HRH Princess Katherine visited the Safe House where she was welcomed by the director, Mrs Sladjana Kostic – Zivkovic, and handed over a donation of toys, sweet packages, books, shoes and linen. Princess Katherine had a cordial conversation with mothers, children and the staff of this institution.
HRH Princess Katherine attended the opening of the renovated department of preventive and paediatric dentistry at the Dentistry Clinic, together with Dr. Elaine Laycock, great benefactor of Serbian people from the United Kingdom and long-time friend of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, who raised funds for equipping this unit. They were welcomed by Dr Dragan Krasic director of Clinic of Dentistry Nis, Dr. Mirjana Zivkovic, Deputy Director of Clinical Centre Nis, Dr Liljana Cemerkic, chief of the children’s unit as well as representatives of the Eparchy of Nis.
HRH Princess Katherine then continued to the “Vozd Karadjordje” elementary school, where she gave a valuable donation of school supplies as well as three sets of books about King Peter I Karadjordjevic, King Peter II Karadjordjevic and a biography of “Supreme Leader Karadjordje”. The director of the school, Mrs. Milena Kostic, extended greetings to Princess Katherine in her speech and thanked her for the visit and presents. |
