ROYAL COUPLE AND PRINCE PHILIP ATTEND THE RECEPTION ON EUROPE DAY AND OPENING OF EUROPE CULTURE WEEK AT YUGOSLAV DRAMA THEATER
Belgrade, 9 May 2012 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II, Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Philip together with their guets Mr. and Mrs. Axel Alwyen attended tonight a reception commemorating May 9, the Europe Day and opening of the European culture week at Yugoslav Drama Theater.
H.E. Mr. Vincent Degert, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia addressed the guests and officially opened the EU culture week. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, speaker of the Parliament and acting President of Serbia, H.E. Dr Mirko Cvetkovic, Prime minister, H.E. Mr. Ivica Dacic, first deputy Prime minister and Minister of the Interior, H.E. Mr. Erwin Hofer, Ambassador of Switzerland, H.E. Mrs. Mercedes Martinez Valdes, Ambassador of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Alexandre Addor Neto, Ambassador of Brazil, H.E. Mr. Abdelkader Mesdoua, Ambassador of Algeria, H.E. Mr. Demosthenes Stoidis, Ambassador of Greece, H.E. Mrs. Mercedes Ruiz Zapata, Ambassador of Mexico, H.E. Mr. Semuel Samson, Ambassador of Indonesia, H.E. Dr. Helena Studdert, Ambassador of Australia, H.E. Mr. Igor Jovovic, Ambassador of Montenegro, other members of the diplomatic corps, officials of City of Belgrade, artists and journalists. On this occasion, numerous manifestations presenting different European Union member countries will be organized throughout Serbia until May 20.
