NEW POSSIBILITIES FOR SERBIAN MATHEMATICIANS
THANKS TO PRINCE PHILIP, ONE OF THE LARGEST HEDGE FUNDS RECOGNISES THE TALENT OF SERBIAN MATHEMATICIANS
Belgrade, 11 May 2012 – Thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Philip and his promotion of Serbia across the world, one of the largest hedge funds in the world, IKOS, is visiting Belgrade. During this visit they will establish cooperation with Faculty of Mathematics, Belgrade Mathematical Grammar School and Crown Prince Alexander II Foundation for Education.
The cooperation of IKOS and Faculty of Mathematics will create an opportunity for young mathematicians of Serbia to work and have internships in the research department of IKOS in Limassol, Cyprus.
IKOS is one of the leading Hedge Funds in the world and it is constantly searching for fresh talent that can contribute to their research team which is composed of Ph.D. and graduates in the area of Mathematics.
The presentation of IKOS today was held in the ceremonial hall of the Faculty of Mathematics, while interviews with candidates are scheduled for Saturday, May 12.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander addressed students and professors at the Faculty of Mathematics and emphasised: “My son Prince Philip made a huge effort to bring our guests from IKOS today to the Faculty of Mathematics. IKOS is a renowned Hedge Fund consulting company, and I am happy and proud of that. My Foundation for Education and Culture always do their best to support our talented students and help them to learn and prosper. Highly educated young people are the future of our country”.
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine will host a dinner on Saturday, 12 May 2012 at the Royal Palace. The IKOS team with Mrs. Elena Ambrosiadou, Fund co-founder and president, will be attending as well as many representatives from the academic community of Serbia.
On Saturday, 12 May 2012, the IKOS team will join Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Philip, while visiting Homes for children without parental care “Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj” and “Mosa Pijade”, as well as the premises of SOS Childline for assisting children victims of violence, the first such service in Serbia was started with help of HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation, where they will make valuable donation.
