THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AND PRINCE PHILIP VISIT HOMES FOR CHILDREN WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE IN BELGRADE
Belgrade, 12 May 2012 - Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Philip, accompanied by members of the IKOS Investment Fund, led by Mr. Ioannis Ambrosiadou, visited today Homes for children without parental care “Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj” and “Mosa Pijade”, as well as the premises of SOS Child Line for children victims of violence, and delivered valuable donations. The guests were welcomed by Mr. Zoran Milacic, director of the Centre for Protection of Infants, Children and Youth Zvecanska, managers and staff, together with the children.
Their Royal Highnesses and their guests visited the dentistry office at “Mosa Pijade” home, that was renovated with the support of Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, that works under auspices of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, and HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation.
After that, TRH Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Philip, together with the IKOS team, visited SOS Child Line for children victims of violence, the first such service in Serbia, started with support of the HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation. They delivered a computer, laptop, scanner and printer, projector, office furniture and air conditioners.
The guests then visited the Home “Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj” and delivered a donation of food for the central kitchen that prepares meals for all children homes in Belgrade. In both Homes children were also given a donation of children’s shoes and sweets.
