ROYAL COUPLE OPEN EXHIBITION "IN DEFENSE OF THE PALACES“ BY SWISS SOCIETY OF ARTISTS “UROS PREDIC” AT THE WHITE PALACE
Belgrade, 1 July 2012 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine together accompanied by their daughter Alison Andrews ceremonially opened today at 18 p.m. the exhibition by Swiss Society of Artists “Uros Predic” at the White Palace.
At the ceremony speeches were given by HRH Crown Prince Alexander, H.E. Mr. Elwin Helmut Hofer, Swiss ambassador to Serbia, Mr. Julien-Zivorad Nikolic, president of the “Uros Predic” artists society, Mr. Dragomir Acovic, Chairman of the Crown Council and Mrs. Mirjana Savic, Curator of the exhibition. Other than prominent speakers, there were present members of the diplomatic corps, H.E. Mr. Nafsika Krousti, Ambassador of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Abdellah Zagour, Ambassador of Morrocco, H.E. Mrs. Maria do Carmo Allegro Magalhaes, Ambassador of Portugal, and many other distinguished guests.
The exhibition named “In defense of the Palaces” will be open for visitors every working day from Monday 2 July until Saturday 7 July at 11a.m and 2p.m. Renowned artists Gordana Elliott, Ivan Petrovic, Slavica Dada Plavsic and Zoran Radojevic, through various manuscripts, poetics, techniques and symbols, will try to tell their iconography of the world. They are very well known by their creative minds and the manufacturing of the lyric sound turned toward nature, light, silence and fantasy.
Swiss Society of Artists “Uros Predic” was founded 19 years ago, and during that time it activated and encouraged many talented artists that have grown and progressed through various exhibitions, art colonies and humanitarian actions.
